Ron Kirsh

Ron Kirsh's professional dream came true in January 1997 as he opened his advertising agency, Kirsh Media Group.

Ron is certainly no stranger to the world of advertising, marketing, and media in the state of Nevada. He came to Las Vegas in 1983, after graduating from The American University, and working in the Washington D.C. market.

During his time as an on-air personality and Promotions Director at KMZQ/Klassy 100.5FM, he had a hand in turning the station into one of the dominant Las Vegas media outlets in the mid 80s.

In 1986, Ron turned to radio sales. Due to the success his clients were experiencing, he was asked to assist many of them with their full service advertising needs. In 1988, he entered the world of full service advertising, serving as an Account Executive and Media Director for various advertising agencies in Southern Nevada.

In 1993, Ron was made responsible for all of the advertising, production, marketing and public relations efforts of Edward M. Bernstein and Associates, one of the top advertisers in Nevada. In the three plus years with Bernstein and Associates, he earned a reputation as a top media buyer and negotiator, as well as a skilled Director for radio and television commercials.

All these skills, combined with a desire to service additional clients, enticed Ron to open his own agency on January 27, 1997.

Outside of the office, radio has never left Ron's blood. He remains a weekend on-air personality on KJUL 104.7fm. According to the latest Arbitron Ratings (December 2010), Ron's programs are some of the most listened to during that time period by Adults 35+.

Kirsh Media Group has received many local and national awards in its twelve years of business:

Ron's greatest recognition came on October 24, 2003 as he was awarded the Working in Communication's Electronic Media Award as "Advertising Agency Principal of the Year." This award not only saluted Ron for his accomplishments in the world of advertising, marketing, and public relations, but also recognized him for his community service and commitment to Las Vegas.

In 2008, and 2009, Kirsh Media Group earned the "Best of Las Vegas" in the Advertising Agency category by the U.S. Local Business Association.

Ron is also honored to be a member of the Nevada Broadcaster's Association "Hall of Fame", in recognition of his years of service and dedication to the radio and television industry in Nevada. He is part of the "Class of 1999."

Ron also is a professor of Media Studies at the College of Southern Nevada for the Spring Semester of 2011.

Community activities are a big part of Ron's life too. He currently serves as a Trustee (appointed by Mayor Oscar Goodman) on the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, and is Sergeant at Arms of the Las Vegas Northwest Rotary Club. Ron is also a member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, and Past President of both Jewish Family Service Agency, and Las Vegas Ad Club.
